Czech Republic

The 3400–3800 MHz band is harmonised for terrestrial systems for the provision of electronic communications services. There occurs a convergence of fixed and mobile radiocommunication services and the conditions of frequencies utilisation in the fixed radiocommunication service are equal to the conditions for the mobile service.

Implementing Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/235 of 24 January 2019 on amending Decision 2008/411/EC (on the harmonisation of the 3400 – 3800 MHz frequency band for terrestrial systems capable of providing electronic communications services in the Community) as regards an update of relevant technical conditions applicable to the 3400-3800 MHz
 frequency band.

3600-3800 sub-band is designated for MFCN. 3800-4200 MHz band is designated for point-to-point FS based on this Recommendation, Annex B (29 MHz channel spacing) is applied.

Ireland

In 2017, ComReg awarded spectrum in the 3.6 GHz band (3.4 - 3.8 GHz), on a "liberalised use" basis. Ireland is using the 3.6 GHz band in full accordance with EC Decision 2008/411/EC (as amended by Decision 2014/276/EC ) on the harmonisation of the 3400 – 3800 MHz frequency band for terrestrial systems capable of providing electronic communications services in the Community.

Prior to this award, the 3.6 GHz Band was used to provide wireless broadband services (and phone services in some cases), predominantly in rural areas. In order to ensure continued services for those existing customers who were at risk of losing their service while Winning Bidders prepared for the deployment of their services (e.g. trials), ComReg developed a Transition licensing framework which it consulted upon extensively with interested parties and implemented by way of the rules of the above referenced Award, which all participants to the Award agreed to be bound by.

Whilst the majority of transition activities by Transition Licensees have now concluded, some transition licences still remain in effect, all of which are using TDD technology - details of latest developments regarding 3.6 GHz Transition activities to date are available at:
https://www.comreg.ie/industry/radio-spectrum/spectrum-awards/3-6-ghz-band-transition/

Noting the above regarding TDD transition licences, there are no FDD FS operating in Ireland.
